  24. At APDL we supply a lot of PD and Shareware to schools, and our five
  25. previous CDs, two of programs and three of clip art, have been very
  26. popular. This new CD was produced to fill what we believe is a real
  27. need, to put as much as possible of the things we find schools are most
  28. interested in onto a single CD.
  29.  
  30. We have therefore included on this CD a comprehensive collection of clip
  31. art, more than 5,000 items, and a useful (though not comprehensive)
  32. collection of more than 300 programs and utilities. There are hundreds
  33. of textfiles of all types, with many classic novels by authors such as
  34. Tolstoy, Jane Austen, Dickens, Jack London, R.L.Stevenson, H.G.Wells,
  35. and the works of Shakespeare, plus lots of other material such as word
  36. lists in many languages, political documents, poems, etc.

  38. There are also more than 120 photo-quality colour pictures including
  39. animals and various NASA pictures of space and space hardware.

  41. Altogether there is in excess of 1,000 megabytes of material, and to get
  42. it all on the CD most of it has been compressed using ArcFS, a copy of
  43. which is provided. The clip art files are not compressed to make it
  44. easier to drag them directly off the CD into documents.

  46. The clip art is catalogued, and you will find information in the
  47. CLIP_ART directory. The programs are listed, with descriptions, in a
  48. textfile in the PROGRAMS directory and there is also an Impression
  49. Style/Publisher format A5 booklet ready for you to print if you wish.
  50. Please read the section on Copyright in the file READ_ME in the CLIP_ART
  51. directory before you use it.
